NECKARLINE
You can reach NECKARLINE by any means of transport. Plan your journey by bus, car, motorhome, on foot, or by bike, and take advantage of the ample parking facilities on site.
How to get to the
By train
Travelers arriving by train should get off at Rottweil station. From there, you can easily reach the NECKARLINE by city bus:
- Berner Feld – main entrance with visitor center
- Bockshof city center – entrance bridge directly in the historic city center
The buses run regularly and the routes are short – ideal for families.
By bus
Whether you’re traveling by public bus or coach, both NECKARLINE boarding points are easily accessible:
➡ Berner Feld (main boarding point with visitor center)
Bus parking spaces are available here for tour groups. From there, it’s only a few minutes’ walk to the visitor center and the bridge boarding point.
Perfect for all groups who want to get started quickly and easily.
➡ City center / bus parking for tourist buses (Bockshof boarding point)
There is a central bus parking lot for tourist buses in the city center, from which you can reach the boarding point at Bockshof.
From here, you can combine your visit with a short walk through the city.
By camper
Motorhomes can be parked in regular car parking spaces for short periods. For overnight stays, there is a motorhome parking area in Rottweil next to the outdoor swimming pool.
By car
For guests arriving by car, there are two convenient options:

NECKARLINE Car Park – Official Car Park Directly opposite Käse-Caduff (Berner Feld 79). Only a few minutes’ walk to the visitor center.

If you want to start at Bockshof, you will find ample parking in the city center, e.g.:
- Eisplatz Car Park (Nägelesgraben)
- Grosche Wiese Multi-Storey Car Park
By foot
The NECKARLINE is easily accessible on foot – no matter which entrance you choose.
➡ From the city center to Bockshof
If you are already in the city center, you can reach the entrance at Bockshof in just a few minutes on foot. Perfect for seamlessly combining your city stroll with the bridge experience.
➡ Via the NECKARLINE to Berner Feld & Test Tower
From Bockshof, you can cross the entire bridge and arrive directly at Berner Feld, where you will also find the visitor center and the TK Elevator Test Tower.
This is ideal if you want to combine your walk with another highlight.

How it works in 4 easy steps
We make parking as easy as possible for you! At our official “NECKARLINE Car Park” (Berner Feld side), we use a modern, barrier-free system. Your parking time is automatically recorded via your license plate when you enter and exit. This allows you to park without any tickets or waiting times.
- Seamless Entry: Simply drive into the car park. Your license plate will be scanned at the entrance in compliance with data protection regulations. No ticket is required.
- Relax and Park: Enjoy your stay with us
- Flexible Payment: Before you leave, you have two payment options:
– At the pay station: Simply enter your license plate number at the machine. You can pay with a debit/credit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.
– Online: Scan the QR code on the signs or visit the specified website to pay online. - Seamless Exit: After payment, you can drive right out. Your license plate will be scanned again, and the system will recognize that everything is paid.lt ist.

- Operator & Contact: The car park is operated by our partner, Mobility Hub Parkservice GmbH. For all questions regarding the parking process, please contact the service partner directly. You will find the contact details clearly visible on the signs on site.
- Data Protection: Your data protection is guaranteed. Only an image of your license plate and a timestamp are recorded to calculate the parking duration (GDPR-compliant). There is no video recording. All data is automatically deleted after proper payment and exit.
