Frequently asked questions

Good to know

Planning your visit to NECKARLINE is easy. Here you will find the most important information. If your questions are still unanswered, please check our FAQ.

Last Admission

The NECKARLINE can be accessed up to half an hour before closing time.

Risk of Forest Fire

Mainly in the months of summer there is a risk of forest fires. Increased safety regulations apply.

Wheelchairs

We want to make your visit to the NECKARLINE as pleasant and safe as possible. Please register at the visitor center before your visit.

Groups

Group tickets are available only after prior regsitratin. Here you can find the registration form for groups.

Dogs

Dogs are allowed. However, dogs must be kept on a leash no longer than one meter. Further information can be found in the FAQ.

Please note the following:
Dog owners are responsible for passing through the turnstile barriers with their dogs. Please bear in mind that the grating flooring is located at a height of up to 60 meters. Not every animal can cope with this unfamiliar situation. Under certain circumstances, the grating may be extremely painful for the animal, so if possible, your pet should be equipped with dog shoes. For smaller breeds, we recommend carrying the dog. While crossing the bridge, the dog must be kept on a very short leash; ideally, the animal should be led directly by the collar. Dog buggies are not permitted out of consideration for wheelchair users and strollers.

Pushchairs

We would like to enable wheelchair users and strollers to visit flexibly every day, not just on special days or at specific times. However, wheelchair users and strollers are only permitted to enter at the WEST bridgehead (near the visitor center) and only during the visitor center’s opening hours. The staff on site will allow wheelchair users and strollers to enter the bridge through a separate entrance and exit on the same side. The number of wheelchair users/strollers is limited, which may result in short waiting times. The maximum width for strollers is 60 cm. Other vehicles such as handcarts, Thule bicycle trailers, tricycles, balance bikes, etc. are not permitted.
